The 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) deemed as the biggest “tech fest” of all times starts January 6th 2015.
There are many predictions as to what this show will unveil, however, with the Internet of Things (IoT) being the new mantra, most of the trends that are foreseen to emerge fall within this realm.

1. Hyper-connected Homes

The idea of the”smart home” has forever been visualized in sci-fi movies but the CES 2015 will turn it into reality.Everything, INCLUDING your kitchen sink will be connected to each other and to your smart phone/tablet so that you can control everything with “literally” just a touch of your finger
2.  4 K – Higher than HD
CES 2015 is predicted to see an onslaught of 4K enabled devices – TVs, cameras, computer monitors – you name it, the manufacturers will have it. Companies will also be displaying smaller and more affordable models so that 4K can be accessible to everyone.
3. Look smart – WEAR smart
With the kitchen appliances becoming smarter than usual, why should your watch be left behind! After Samsung released its smart watch, the CES 2015 will possibly reveal many versions of the smart watch with even more features ranging from remote control to heart beat monitoring.
4. Smart Cars
The days of the “Knight Rider” are no more contained to the TV screen only. With automobile companies like Ford, Mercedes-Benz and BMW all vying with each other to create a smart car, “self-driving cars” are no more a mere possibility.
5. Virtually Real
Oculus Rift and many of its counterparts will be at the CES 2015, to display the latest in VR gear and software.
The CES 2015 promises to be a not to be missed event. Stay tuned for more on this after the show!
