One App to Measure & Track Your Vitals!

Markitech launched into CES 2021 with vEYEtals, our latest AI application for the world of telehealth and remote patient monitoring (RPM). It is the latest development in our commitment to furthering healthcare accessibility through AI innovations.

vEYEtals is a device-less RPM platform that detects, with high accuracy, quantitative patient biometrics including Heart Rate (HR), Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Oxygen Saturation (O2), respiratory rate, blood pressure and mental stress levels. It measures these vitals in 30 seconds or less via smartphone cameras.

How vEYEtals works?

Our app was developed in partnership with an expert panel of physicians, data scientists and academic researchers. This machine learning algorithm detects the area just beneath a patients’ eyes via selfie mode on their iPhone or Android smartphone camera. It then uses image processing and smartphone computing capabilities and our proprietary AI platform to extract the patients’ heart pulsations from pixel changes in the video images of human skin surfaces.

vEYEtals detects the patient biometrics within a 90-95% accuracy rate to help clinicians and physicians address whole patient health.

The Value Proposition

vEYEtals helps make RPM more accessible, continuous to patients and physicians and improves its integration within the telehealth system.

Healthcare Accessibility

vEYEtals is dedicated to helping make healthcare more accessible to at-risk populations across the USA and Canada. Our app is designed to make vitals detection and monitoring virtually device-less – all you need is a smartphone.

Pew Research Center (2019) found that “the vast majority of Americans – 96% – now own a cellphone of some kind. The share of Americans that own smartphones is now 81%” and growing. Unlike traditional RPM devices, such as high-tech Bluetooth enabled smart scales or glucose meters, vEYEtals requires limited technological proficiency. It is as trouble-free and user-friendly as your smartphone. Our app extends the capabilities of hardware each of us carries around to help users generate and physicians interpret and use health data.

Likewise, vEYEtals is designed to make telehealth and ‘virtual-first’ care more financially accessible to care managers and patients. It provides 24/7 detection and monitoring without the need for costly smart medical devices. Our app revolutionizes healthcare accessibility for at-risk patients who require near constant health monitoring but are not able to fund Bluetooth-enabled smart devices.

Its machine learning algorithm provides real-time insights and smart alerts to at-risk providers. vEYEtals provides physicians access to the same data that RPM smart devices would provide at a fraction of the cost.

Vitals History

vEYEtals tracks and logs patients’ biometrics into the app for care providers and patients alike. You can view patient health data in a weekly or monthly chart, allowing patients to better track and self manage their conditions. Our app also ensures biometrics are readily available for caregivers and physicians use to improve patient health outcomes.

In-App Integration

Our cloud based, lightweight API allows vEYEtals to be integrated with the healthcare apps and platforms that matter to you most. The app is interoperable with other healthcare management systems including, but not limited to, SenSights.AI. vEYEtals drives information sharing with other health management solutions and further enhances the continuum of patient care.
